Hello! Here's a peek at some of my desktop reference I was looking at as I finished painting the interior art for Just Being Audrey (art to come!)... Dreamy reference, right? The advertisement typography from the 1950's, Dior's "New Look" all over the place, gloves– And the palette. Oh the palette. Dandelion golds, frothy whites, pearly creams and most of all, that pale mint, a color I have been slightly obsessed with (which I have hunted for months for my bridesmaids-the color is so elusive!) Making this book and planning a wedding simultaneously has been crazy and grand. Matt and I are getting married in May! Couldn't be busier or happier, much to be grateful for and much to be done! Oh my goodness - Rear Window! One of my favorite movies. Grace Kelly's dresses were so beautiful. And that mint color IS wonderful. I do hope you find it for the dresses! Good luck to your upcoming wedding - it will be here before you know it.

J. crew has some pretty colored dresses- even one called Cotton Cady Madeleine dress in 'fresh mint' Have you seen it? Also a color called 'dusty shale'.

Julia, I cannot WAIT for your Audrey book to come out. For real, I want it so badly. Congrats on your upcoming wedding! Being married is pretty nifty. Thanks for the encouragement and ideas on bridesmaids' dresses, ladies! I ended up finding something close to that color and on sale (which is great!) at Ann Taylor. They call theirs "Aqua Garden". Onward we go!
